Reasons Why You Need A Red Nose… Day

Children at school wearing red noses during Red Nose Day

Red Nose Day is May 24th. You may be asking what is Red Nose Day?  Why should I care? Okay, now I have some questions for you. Do you like the idea of helping children? Do you like to smile and make others laugh? This has been the goal since 2015 for Comic Relief Inc, a U.S. 501(c)(3) public charity. Comic Relief Inc began raising funds to improve the quality of life for children and young people living in the United States of America and 34 countries around the world.

Red Nose Day is focused on ensuring children in need are safe, healthy and educated. Boys & Girls Club of America, Feeding America, and Save the Children are just some of the charitable organizations receiving assistance from well over half of the $100,000,000 raised in the first 3 years. While the poorest communities in Africa, Asia, and Latin America have seen the other half.

Where can I get a Red Nose?

Walgreens is the exclusive retailer of the Red Noses, available at Walgreens and Duane Reade locations nationwide starting April 2, 2018.

I’ve already got a Red Nose, now what else can I do to help?

Join the fun and support Red Nose Day, through fully tax-deductible donations, inquiring if your employer has a direct donation and or matching policy, or by organizing a fundraiser. Regardless if you host or take part in a bake sale, car wash, or just happen to see happy people wearing red noses, share your Red Nose Day event photos and videos across social media using the hashtag #RedNoseDay!
