Dear Reader,


Hi! My name is Anthony Newson and I have worked as a freelance graphic designer, data entry clerk, warehouse worker, and some general labor too. Some might say I am a jack of all trades but master of none. However, I'd argue I'm pretty damn good at being lazy and good for nothing. Oh wait, that can't be encouraging, can it? I'm so fired!

Over the past couple of years I've had friends ask questions like:

  • What is Blender?
  • How do you create a web page?
  • What is responsive web design?
  • Can you recommend software other than Adobe for _______?
  • How do you create texture maps?
  • Can you show an easier way to create 3D models?
  • What is AO or Ambient Occlusion?
  • Does the polygon count really matter and if so how do I reduce this count without sacrificing quality?
These are just a sample of questions I've heard and so I thought why not create a place to answer some of these questions.

Anyway if you've done your searching for some of the topics listed above you know that its not easy finding the right answer to the problem. You may get a 3 or so minute tutorial showing how to save a file or some other really basic task. They may spend most of the time talking about themselves or promoting a product rather than diving in and really getting dirty.

What do I need from you?


Other than truckloads of cash, your firstborn, and all of your pets... or more realistically your loyal readership, oh and feedback so please comment and share posts. Also, I will need a way to contact you so your email, social media, or I can reply to your comments. Ask questions, make suggestions, tell me to take a long leap off a short pier whatever floats your boat.

Another reason why I need your email and or other ways to contact you is to provide you with updates on new or existing posts, any really great offers I find. Also from time to time, I may have polls or questionnaires to gauge how I'm doing with you. Also, I plan to start giving away prizes when I reach milestones for Twitter and YouTube. 

Seriously, I will not send anything offensive or spam your inbox. An example of some offers would be :

  • great deal on school supplies at ...
  • look what game is on sale now ...
  • new post available on Anthegone
Things like that but actual offers, not... ok you get it. So to reiterate I need you first and foremost, secondly share these posts through email and social media, and let me know how I'm doing or what you want to see more of, communication is key. Third and maybe most importantly let us learn from each other and have fun while doing so.
